European Football Museums: Wednesday in Coverciano
A meeting to promote the museum culture tied to football and sports in general: this is the objective of the “Symposium with the Directors of Football and Sports Museums in Europe” that will be held on Wednesday, March 24th, at the technical Federal Center in Coverciano. Organized by the Football Museum Foundation and the Technical Sector of the FIGC, the event will bring together Directors of some of the most important sports museums in Europe, the heads of Italian stadiums and some of the most important Italian journalists.
“The Football Museum – explained Fino Fini, Head of the Football Museum Foundation – wants to be seen in a development and dynamic role that, together with the memories of the past, can offer proof of how history and football events are intertwined with social and civil events in their various articulations: political, economic-cultural and traditional”.
Three sessions are scheduled: in the morning a workshop reserved only for the Museum Directors (“Sports Museum experiences”) to open up a round table on the single experiences and trace guidelines for a “Future Museum”. In the afternoon, at 3:00 pm, two sessions open to all guests: the first on “How to think about the Football Past” and the second dedicated to a reflection on “What type of museum for Football”.
