Under-18 National Team: Azzurrini put five past Czech Republic

In Castel di Sangro where they beat Russia 3-1, the Under-18 National Team beat the Czech Republic 5-0. After a relatively balanced first half, the Azzurrini took control in the second. Juventus forward Hans Nicolussi Caviglia opened the scoring after 52 minutes before Felice D’Amico scored in the 54th and 58th minutes. Davide Merola netted in the 74th minute and Emanuel Vignato scored the match’s final goal in the 82nd minute.

The two most recent friendlies have been positive not just for the results, but for the quality of play also. "I’m satisfied with how compact and intense the group were able to be on the pitch," said Coach Daniele Franceschini. "Balance and space between the lines are crucial elements and they were a bit out in the youth teams. The boys were always able to show the right intensity, have a proactive attitude and they made the right moves."
