Tavecchio: "It was a disgraceful gesture in Marzabotto, the facts have been sent to the Federal Prosecutor"

After the match in Seconda Categoria between Marzabotto and Futa 65 when a Futa 65 player gave a Roman salute before removing his shirt to display a t-shirt baring the ensign of the Italian Social Republic, the council for Emilia Romagna from the Lega Nazionale Dilettanti have passed the evidence on to the Federal Prosecutor.

"We’re faced by a disgraceful act," said the FIGC President Carlo Tavecchio. "It was in a place that was the victim of Nazi-Fascist violence. I spoke on the phone with the President of the Emilia Romagna Council Paolo Braiati, calling for immediate intervention to allow the sporting justice system to take immediate measures."
