UEFA Euro 2020: Second Inspection Concludes at Stadio Olimpico

The FIGC and UEFA's workshop on transport and security operations in the second inspection of the Stadio Olimpico finished today in Rome. The stadium is set to host four matches at UEFA Euro 2020 including the opening game, two matches in the group stage and a quarter final.

The visit lasted for three days and was conducted in cooperation with operatives and experts from the Italian Olympic Committee, which is the owner of the Stadio Olimpico. The inspection analysed the infrastructure and welcome set up for supporters and the media in order to check that they met the standards set by UEFA for high-profile matches at international level.

Additionally, different scenarios for welcoming tourists and supporters were evaluated in accordance with pre-set plans for both transport and security. The meetings regarding this issue were also attended by representatives from Rome City Council, Rome Airport, and national and local security forces.

The next inspection of the Stadio Olimpico will take place in January 2019.
