120 years of the FIGC: Great participation at celebratory events in town squares

There was great involvement in the celebration of 120 years of the FIGC with over 1,000 young male and female players involved in Florence, Mestre, Ferrara, Potenza and Genoa at events in town squares organised by the Youth and Schools Section. Boys and girls from the local areas took part in sporting activities under instruction from the staff of the Regional Co-ordination bodies in front of their parents and passionate onlookers. For the occasion, the Federation showed its support for the Insieme contro il cancro [Together against cancer] foundation by backing the ‘Palloni della Salute’ project to raise funds for research.

Celebrations will also continue in coming weeks in a nationwide programme until May. From Sunday 15th April, there will be events from Trieste to Palermo.
