Balotelli and Bonucci’s shirts from Netherlands friendly go up for auction

Balotelli and Bonucci’s shirts from Netherlands friendly go up for auction

The signed shirts from the two Italy players Mario Balotelli and Leonardo Bonucci have been put up for auction to aid the fight against cancer. The funds raised will go to the Fondazione Piemontese per la Ricerca sul Cancro which the FIGC is continuing to back with fundraising activity.

The shirts worn by Balotelli and Bonucci during Italy’s match on 4 June at the Allianz Stadium in Turin that ended with a 1-1 draw against the Netherlands are up for sale.

The auction is taking part on the dedicated  www.charitystars.com with the initiative coming about thanks to collaboration between the FIGC and the Foundation presided over by Allegra Agnelli.

For the match itself, 20 VIP passes were also put on sale to raise money for charity. They allowed holders to go on a guided tour of the stadium, enter the changing rooms, access the pitch before the match and watch from the directors’ box.
