Born in Rome on August 26, 1950, married with two children.

• High school diploma at the Massimo Institute in Rome;
• College degree in Business Administration from the "La Sapienza" University with honors. 

Professional Activities
Involved in the entrepreneurial activities of the Abete Group that works in the graphic, editorial, information field as President and member of the Board of numerous companies belonging to the Group.

• Board member of C.N.E.L. – National Council of Economy and Work since June 2000; 
• Member of the Board of the Banca d'Italia – Rome, since 2005;  
• Deputy during the 8th, 9th and 10th Legislature from 1979 to 1992.

• Member of the Confindustria executive committee;
• Member of the executive committee of the Unione Industriali di Roma and Province, of Confindustria Lazio and Federturismo Confindustria;
• Member of the board of the National Italian Association of Graphic, Cartotechnical and Transforming Industries since 1991; 
• President of the Unione Industriali of Roma from 1994 to April 2000;
• President of the Industry Federation of Lazio from July 1997 to November 2001; 
• President of Federturismo - Confindustria from July 1999 to July 2003;

• Member since 1998 of the Commission des Equipes Nationales - U.E.F.A. and the Commission d'Organisation des Toirnois Olympiques de Football - F.I.F.A.;
• President of the Technical sector of the F.I.G.C. - Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio from 1988 to
1990 and commissioner during the 1997/98 season;
• President of the C series Professional League from November 1990 to December 1996; 
• Vice President of the F.I.G.C. from December 1996 to March 2000 and from December 2001 to May 2006; 
• Head of the Delegation of the Italian National team during the World Cup in France 1998 and in Germany 2006.
