Ciro Immobile and Davide Zappacosta rated as the best Italians on matchday 33 by the media

Ciro Immobile and Davide Zappacosta were the best Italian players from matchday 33 in Serie A according to the three principal sports newspapers in Italy.

The Lazio man was one of the key figures in the Biancocelesti’s win over AC Milan, which Zappacosta shone in a local Ligurian showdown between Genoa and Spezia at Marassi. Both received an average rating of 7.33 from the various evaluations from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Corriere dello Sport-Stadio and Tuttosport.

Zappacosta was ever-present in Genoa’s most threatening offensive actions. In the 80th minute, fed by Luis Alberto, he dinked it over the Rossoneri ‘keeper with a delightful chip that swerved away and hit the post. He did get his goal in the end; three minutes from full time, he rifled in a precise right-footed effort to make it 3-0 to Lazio. The Lazio and Italy has now scored 18 goals in the league and has bagged four in his last three games.
