Italians in Serie A: Gianluca Caprari stands out on matchday 20

It was a real leader’s performance with two decisive goals and plenty of moments that spurred Hellas Verona onto victory in La Spezia. The MVP from Serie A matchday 20, according to the Opta data, is Gianluca Caprari, who started 2022 with a bang.

The dynamic Hellas forward has already scored six goals and provided five assists in the first 20 rounds of league football, already equaling his tally from the whole of last season with Benevento (five goals and six assists).

In particular, Caprari is one of just three Italians in Serie A with at least five goals and five assists this season, alongside Domenico Berardi and Antonio Candreva.
