Ciro IMMOBILE (G 8; C 9; T 7,5) Hellas Verona 1-5 Lazio
100 goals for Lazio and 34 in Serie A this season, with Higuain’s record well within reach. Two penalties won and converted along with a delightful curled finish on the way to his hat-trick sent him right to the front of the race for the Golden Boot. What more can we say?
Filippo FALCO (G 7; C 7; T 7,5) Bologna 3-2 Lecce
An inspired performance however you look at it. He created, finished and caused danger wherever he went. His efforts nearly overcame a Bologna in fine form, as his side sought to keep up a dream of survival which now looks a long way away. One goal, another chance cleared off the line and a shot against the woodwork. Who could ask for more?
Marco MANCOSU (G 7; C 7; T 7) Bologna 3-2 Lecce
Such an important goal in the match and one which provided a real turning point for Lecce. Although it was in vain at full-time, his contribution cannot be forgotten as he provided the moment to inject a sliver of hope alongside a hardworking and important all-round performance.
Gianluigi DONNARUMMA (G 7; C 7; T 7) AC Milan 1-1 Atalanta
He kept out a Malinovskyi penalty and was simply the best on the pitch. Always there when needed and a fundamental man in Pioli’s AC Milan side.
Simone VERDI (G 7; C 7; T 7) SPAL 1-1 Torino
A picture-perfect goal which will be right up there with the goals of the season, and one which secured safety mathematically for a Torino side aspiring to much greater goals. They’ll certainly be ready to chase them next season.
Stefano OKAKA (G 7; C 7; T 7) Cagliari 0-1 Udinese
The matchwinner with a close-range goal on the turn after just two minutes of play, and an important performance for the remaining 88. Someone who always gives his all for the team and an absolutely vital player for his side.
