Road to EURO 2020: four friendlies for Mancini’s Azzurri in spring

The beginning of spring will see the Azzurri play four big friendlies in their build-up to UEFA EURO 2020.

Their first opponents will be England, who they’ll face on Friday 27 March at 21:00 CET in London, the game set to be played at Wembley. Mancini’s side will then fly to Nuremberg to face Germany on Tuesday 31 March, the game kicking off at the Max-Morlock-Stadion at 20:45 CET.

Two friendlies on Italian soil will then follow, as Italy face San Marino at Cagliari’s Sardegna Arena on Friday 29 May (20:45 CET KO), and subsequently the Czech Republic at Bologna’s Stadio Renato Dall’Ara on 4 June (20:45 CET KO).

The friendly in the Emilian capital will be Italy’s final appointment before the group stages of UEFA EURO 2020 begin, with Italy kicking the entire tournament off against Turkey at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome (12 June). The Azzurri will then face Switzerland (17 June) and Wales (21 June) in their quest to make it out of Group A.
