Countdown to the launch of the UEFA Volunteer Programme in Rome

On 4 June 2019, it will be possible to register for the Volunteer Programme in Rome: the FIGC will bring over 1000 Volunteers on board during the tournament. An exceptional ambassador will provide them with guidance: Gianluca Vialli.

The FIGC have begun their preparations for the opening of the registration process for the UEFA EURO 2020 Volunteer Programme. Between July and October 2019, the Volunteer Team will organise more than 1600 interviews in Rome. The aim will be to meet candidates in person, find out their reasons for wanting to take part in the project and identify the operational area that best suits their interests and availability.

As Italy’s ambassador of the UEFA EUR0 2020 Volunteer Programme in Rome, Gianluca Vialli will support and accompany all the Volunteers involved in the project. We met up with him to carry out some special preparations and invite you to follow us on social media (UEFA EURO 2020 Rome Facebook page here) to keep up to date with all the latest goings-on.

How to apply. On 4 June 2019, it’ll be possible to apply to become a Volunteer by filling out a form on the relevant site (www.volontariroma2020.it). The registration process will last 30 minutes and will be open to all candidates who have turned 18 by 1 May 2020, who have basic knowledge of the English language and who can guarantee their availability during the four days when matches will take place in Rome or, alternatively, longer than that.
If selected, the candidates will become part of the UEFA EURO 2020 community. There will be more than 12,000 Volunteers throughout the continent to celebrate the European Championship taking place across Europe for the first time. They will be ambassadors of the tournament and experience UEFA EURO 2020 as key players behind the scenes.

Want to know more? Visit the site www.volontariroma2020.it and fill out the pre-registration form. You will then receive updates and be informed about the opening of the registration process.
