The FIGC president expressed his satisfaction with the effort put in by all of Italian football in recent months. "Great show of strength by everyone involved"

On Serie A’s final day, FIGC President Gabriele Gravina thanked the entire Italian football system and everyone involved, who, in various ways, contributed to the conclusion of a complex season.

"The Serie A concluded today. Serie B are nearing the play-offs and play-outs, and after Serie C has already completed its journey," Gravina said, "I want to thank all of the players, coaches, staff and personnel involved at all levels of the game for their incredible work. I special thanks to our referees, who gave their usual and indispensible support, despite the difficulties we faced."

Everyone involved in the restart displayed great responsibility and a readiness to follow the extremely rigid guidelines and undergo regular testing. Gravina continued, "Italian football, in its togetherness, knew to gave a great display of professionalism and competence, even in a situation as complex as the COVID-19 crisis, reinforcing the strength and credibility of the system. With the hope that our clubs involved in the European cups can achieve the results they are hoping for, we have already been working for a long time on the recovery of the 2020/21 season."
