On International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, the Italian Football Federation renews its commitment to combatting all forms of discrimination. The FIGC, together with all Leagues, Referees, Associations, Divisions and Sectors - Lega Serie A, Lega B, Lega Pro, Lega Nazionale Dilettanti (National Amateur League), Associazione Italiana Calciatori (Italian Footballers’ Association), Associazione Italiana Allenatori Calcio (Italian Coaches’ Association), Associazione Italiana Arbitri (Italian Referees’ Association), the Youth and School Sector, the Technical Sector, the Women’s Serie A Division, the Women's Serie B Division, and the Paralympic and Experimental Football Division) - once again takes to the pitch alongside the #UnitiDagliStessiColori (#UnitedByTheSameColours) campaign, with the Federation continuing to work with UEFA and UNAR (National Office against Racial Discrimination) to raise awareness for a third consecutive year. Because, as the campaign claim states, ‘our skin has different shades, but it shares the same colours’.
The campaign - Through the use of our four-colour identity (cyan, magenta, yellow and black), the #UnitiDagliStessiColori campaign tells the story of the different ethnic groups from a new point of view: against the irrational logic of discrimination, the campaign makes use of primary colours demonstrating how each type of skin has the same origin and, in fact, is the combination of the same colours. The project involves the National Office against Racial Discrimination of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (UNAR) as an institutional partner and has been made possible thanks to the contribution of UEFA HatTrick FSR (Football and Social Responsibility).
