3,650 visitors in three days to 'Sfumature di Azzurro' exhibition in Reggio Calabria

At the Civic Art Gallery, the first tour of the travelling exhibition, with memorabilia from the Museo del Calcio, has ended. More destinations are scheduled for when the Under-21s play their games in Italy

3,650 visitors in three days to 'Sfumature di Azzurro' exhibition in Reggio Calabria

As well as celebrating the Under-21s' victory over Ukraine, the exhibition 'Sfumature di Azzurro' has also been a resounding success for the city of Reggio Calabria. The first leg of the travelling exhibition organised by the Museo Del Calcio, that is joining the Under-21 team acorss Italy in 2023, registered a whopping 3,650 visitors over three days. The Civic Art Gallery in Reggio Calabria was inundated with passionate football fans across the weekend, who were able to see the Men's National side's history and trophies, alongside the Olympic and Youth teams', up close. Among the pieces of memorabilia on display were the 2006 World Cup trophy won in Germany and the EURO 2020 one lifted at Wembley.

Also taking part in a visit were many school groups, with Reggina supporters particularly emotional by the sight of Piermario Morosini's shirt, who as a Reggina player wore it during the 2009/10 season before tragedically dying at stadio Adriatico in Pescara on 14 April 2012. 'Sfumature di Azzurro', which has been curated by Enneidee, will be back for two more legs in 2023, in occasion of the Under-21s' 2025 Euro qualification fixtures, with venues still to be decided.
