4 Nations tournament. Italy draw with Belgium but remain on course

Italy U17, following a big victory over Israel on matchday 1, drew 0-0 with Belgium on the second game of the 4 Nations tournament currently being held in Duisburg, Germany. This result keeps the Azzurrini on track for the final victory; they take on the hosts in the decisive final match on Monday at 11:00 CEST. Germany have won two from two, so Italy will need to win in order to win the entire competition.

Italy had plenty of chances throughout the game; Owusu, Bolzan (hattrick against Israel), Onofrietti and Lipani all went close but the Azzurrini couldn’t break through. Massimiliano Favo - who was the coach in place of the unavailable Bernardo Corradi - was satisfied with the performance, stating “since the first few days, we understood that this group could do great things. Given the long break and the short time to prepare, the boys have to be praised for the work. We’re convinced we’ll face Germany in the best shape possible.”
