A summer of eSports continues with the Azzurri in action in FIFA eFootball Play x Unite 2020

An action-packed summer for Italy in the world of eSports. Following our PES TIMVISION eNazionale’s triumph at the UEFA European Championship, our FIFA 20 eNazionale powered by TIMVISION take the reigns in the FIFA eFootball Play x Unite 2020 cup, with their next fixtures coming on Monday 13 July. The invite-only competition will see some of the continent’s top players on FIFA 20’s virtual pitches, as Italy will be represented by AC Monza’s eplayer Raffaele ‘Er_caccia98’ Cacciapuoti and his club teammate Simone ‘Figurinho’ Figura on PlayStation and Marco ‘TactualStrange’ Paolicelli on Xbox, each of whom came out as winners of the TIMVISION FIFA 2020 qualifiers.

“I’m completely ready to represent Italy in this tournament,” said ‘Er_caccia98’ Cacciapuoti. “To have reached this point is a huge source of pride for me and I’ll honour the Azzurri shirt until the final minute of the final game.” Marco ‘TactualStrange’ Paolicelli echoed these words, saying: “Representing the National Team is an honour, I hope to be able to showcase Italy’s worth. Now heads down and focus.”

Our FIFA 20 eNazionale powered by TIMVISION will take to the virtual pitch at 18:00 CEST on Monday, up against Sweden, Portugal and Belgium, with the second legs of each of these fixtures then taking place at the same time the next day. The games, which will be played on FIFA Ultimate Team with the scores on PS4 and Xbox combined, will be streamed live on TIMVISION, on the eNazionale’s website and on the FIGC’s Twitch channel.

Monday 20 July will then see two games played to decide the finalists, with the final set to take place at 20:00 CEST on Tuesday 21 July. On Wednesday 22, the winning nation will play a grand final against the winner of the other mini-tournament between England, Germany, Poland and Switzerland.
