Nine days after the end of the league season and three days after the Coppa Italia final between Juventus and Roma, which will be played on Saturday 17 May in Como, Italy Women will gather at the Giulio Onesti Olympic Training Centre in Rome for a short training camp ahead of their final two Nations League matches. On Friday 30 May (18:20 CEST), the Azzurre will face Sweden at the Stadio Tardini in Parma, while they are then scheduled to face Wales in Swansea at 19:30 CEST on Tuesday 3 June.

Head Coach Andrea Soncin has chosen to call up 35 players for the training camp scheduled from Tuesday 20 May to Friday 23 May. Como goalkeeper Astrid Gilardi, AC Milan defender Nadine Sorelli and her club teammate Giorgia Arrigoni (who won the Serie A Young Player of the Year award last week) have all earned their first call-ups.

Martina Rosucci and Aurora Galli are back in the squad: it’s the Juventus player’s first call-up since the serious injury she suffered in March 2023. The same goes for the Everton midfielder, who is back eight months after an ACL tear. After various physical issues, Schroffenegger also rejoins the group.

At the end of the training camp, the final squad will be announced for the preparation camp ahead of the matches against Sweden and Wales, which will begin on Monday 26 May in Parma.
