20 youngsters wearing the shirts of Serie A teams happily posed for a photo on the pitch with the Azzurri and Head Coach Luciano Spalletti. It’s a snap they’ll continue to treasure when they grow up and symbolically marks the start of Italy’s adventure at EURO 2024.
This is how the National Team’s training session at Coverciano started today, with the Azzurri beginning their Euro preparations 15 days ahead of their opening match against Albania. “The photo’s slogan is ‘L’Azzurro ci unisce… sempre!’ (L’Azzurro unites us… always!’). It’s our way of thanking club teams for making themselves available to us and to send out the message that Italy and the Azzurri colours belong to everyone. We’re united by the feeling they give us, both in victory and defeat.”
