The first half finished with Italy in front by two goals after efforts from Roma midfielder Edoardo Bove and Juventus youngster Franco Tongya after 15 and 33 minutes respectively. Nunziata made eight changes at half-time and it continued to be one-way traffic, with Milan player Andrea Capone grabbing Italy’s third.
