Lockdown in Israel: the Azzurre’s match against the Israelis postponed to a later date

Following the restrictions put in place in Israel to contain the COVID-19 pandemic, the FIGC has accepted the request made by the IFA to postpone the fixture between the Women’s National Team and Israel, with UEFA having also agreed to this. The Euro 2022 qualifying match, which was due to take place at 20:45 CEST on Thursday 17 September at the Stadio Castellani in Empoli, will be played during one of the next international rounds of fixtures.

The Azzurre will remain at the Coverciano Federal Technical Centre, where they’ll now prepare for their game against Bosnia & Herzegovina, which is scheduled to take place at 16:00 CEST on Tuesday 22 September at the Bilino Polje Stadium in Zenica.
