Luciano Spalletti nominated for ‘The Best FIFA Men's Coach’

Featuring on the list of 5 candidates for ‘The Best FIFA Men’s Coach award’, Luciano Spalletti, the new National team head Coach. The nomination comes for what he did between 19 December 2022 and 20 August 2023, guiding Napoli to their third Scudetto win in history. The other four coaches nominated for the prize are Pep Guardiola, who won the Triple with Manchester City, Simone Inzaghi, a Champions League finalist with Inter, Xavi, La Liga winner with Barcelona, and Ange Postecoglu.

The winner of ‘The Best FIFA Men’s Coach’ award, taken home last year by Lionel Scaloni, will be chosen by an international jury composed of the current coaches of all the men’s national teams, the current captains of all the men’s national teams, a specialised journalist from each territory represented by a national team and by fans from all over the world registered on FIFA.com. On top of the award for ‘The Best FIFA Men’s Coach,’ the eighth edition of ‘The Best FIFA Football Awards’ will see awards in the following categories: best female footballer, best male footballer, best female coach, best male goalkeeper, best female goalkeeper and best fan. Spalletti and Inzaghi are the only Italians present in the nominations.
