After beating South Korea 3-0 in their opener and the United Arab Emirates 1-0 three days ago, Massimiliano Favo’s U18s concluded their friendly tournament in Croatia with a goalless draw against the hosts in Vrbovec.

“It was an excellent performance,” said the Italian coach. “We barely gave anything away and spent most of the game in the opposition half. It wasn’t easy, as Croatia are a very physical and well-organised side. My only criticism is that we weren’t sharp enough in front of goal. We need to learn to make the most of the chances we create, especially in official competitions.”
