The community of Sant’Egidio will once again be at the side of those most vulnerable this Christmas with the ‘Add a place at your table for Christmas’ campaign. It will be possible to donate Christmas lunch and gifts to those most in need until 26 December by calling 45586 from a landline or texting the same number from a mobile phone to let them experience the warmth of a family on this special day.

At Christmas 2023, at a time of particular difficulty due to growing poverty as a result of the wars in Ukraine Israel and Palestine, the Community of Sant'Egidio aim to put 80,000 people at the table in more than a hundred Italian cities and 240,000 worldwide. 

National Team coach Luciano Spalletti is amongst the proponents of the campaign, inviting everyone to contribute with a video message.
