Simone Pafundi, the Azzurri's youngest debutant in 110 years, visits the Museo del Calcio

He is the youngest Azzurri debutant in the last 110 years: Simone Pafundi - at just 17 years, eight months and two days - made his first appearance for the Men's National side in a friendly in Tirana on 16 November 2022, almost one year ago. Bettering him - in age debutant terms - is only Rodolfo Gavinelli (in 1911) and Renzo de Vecchi (1910), both at the beginnings of the National team.

Pafundi was at Coverciano for a training camp with the National Under-19 team from Monday until today, as they get ready for the Azzurrini's upcoming games in the first round of European qualifying action in Sweden starting on 15 November.

Simone Pafundi visited the Museo del Calcio at Coverciano (Italy's Football Museum) to admire the memorabilia that tells the history of Italian football. To mark the occassion, a photo was taken of him with the shirt he wore on his debut, which he had already donated to the Foundation.
