After the draw in Skopje with North Macedonia and the victory in Milan over Ukraine in the EURO 2024 qualifiers, the National Team lost a position in the FIFA Ranking, slipping to 9th place, overtaken by Portugal (8th).  Reigning world champions Argentina confirmed their spot at the top, and thanks to their victories against Ecuador and Bolivia they extend their lead over France who were beaten in a friendly by Germany. Brazil is confirmed in third position in a top five completed by England and Belgium. The next FIFA Ranking will be published on 26 October.
