Games confirmed behind closed doors, Azzurri venues in October changed: against Moldova in Florence

Update on host venues for the Azzurri’s fixtures in October: given that the hygiene protocols are likely to produce games still played behind closed doors, the FIGC and FMG - in agreement with UEFA - have agreed to move Italy vs. Moldova (7 October) from Parma to Florence. This choice will allow the Azzurri, who will be training at Coverciano, to limit travel in any international window that includes three matches.

Discussions with the KNVB pertaining to the venue for Italy vs. Netherlands (14 October) - at the moment this is Milan - are ongoing. The venue for the game against Poland on 11 October has, however, been confirmed; the match will take place in Gdansk.

There has also been an update on the Under 21’s schedule; with the same motive of limiting the Azzurrini’s travel time, Italy’s game against the Republic of Ireland has been moved from Benevento to Pisa - the Under 21’s will do their training camp in nearby Tirrenia.

Possible amendments of the games in November will be communicated as soon as possible.

The FIGC would like to thank the local authorities of Parma and Benevento, the clubs in involved and all of the local groups involved in the planning of the games for their hard work and dedication. We will make sure that these cities will be able to see their National Time soon.
