Training camp for players of Senior Team interest kicks off: first group at work in Coverciano

The first training session of the training camp dedicated to players of Senior Team interest, which from today - and until tomorrow morning - will involve thirty players in this first part of the event; from tomorrow afternoon and until Thursday morning, on the other hand, Serie A players and those who play abroad will meet at the Centro Tecnico Federale. Twenty-eight players from Serie B clubs will be present in this first group, as well as Gaetano Pio Oristanio of Volendam and Wladimiro Falcone, the Lecce goalkeeper who will take part across the whole three days.

The format dedicated to the two groups will be the same: training in the afternoon of the first day of the event and a friendly game in the morning of the second day. Leading the sessions will be Head Coach Roberto Mancini, assisted by his technical staff, while in the stands, watching the training - remaining until the end of the internship - will be the Men's Head Coaches from the Under 15s to the Under 21s (namely Massimilano Favo, Daniele Zoratto, Bernardo Corradi, Daniele Franceschini, Alberto Bollini, Carmine Nunziata and Paolo Nicolato), along with Men's Youth Teams Coordinator, Maurizio Viscidi. This shows the main aims of the camp: namely the desire - through a path already started by the FIGC last season - to facilitate the transition to the Senior Team and to expand the pool of players.
