A minute's silence to be held this weekend following the death of young referee Fabio Buoninsgeni

The FIGC would like to join in the condolences to family members and the AIA for the passing of referee Fabio Buoninsigni. Part of the Naples referee section, he tragically lost his life in a road accident while returning home after refereeing a match in the Prima Categoria league (7th tier).

FIGC President Gabriele Gravina has ordered a minute's silence before the start of fixtures in all LND (Lega Nazionale Dilettanti) and Youth Sector/Junior football competitions organised by the Campania Regional Committee scheduled for the weekend. The referees across every level in the footballing pyramid, including the CAN, will take to the field wearing a black armband in memory of Fabio.
