Giacomo Raspadori was voted by fans as the Best Azzurro on the pitch during Italy vs. Lithuania, a qualifying match for the next World Cup which ended with a scoreline of 5-0 in favour of Coach Roberto Mancini’s men.

The 21-year-old obtained 41.07% of votes from fans on the FIGC website, just ahead of Moise Kean (31.86%) and Matteo Pessina (10.87%).

It was an all-round performance from Raspadori, who was one of the game’s protagonists. With a left-footed finish in the 14th minute of the first half, he set up the own goal which gave the Azzurri a two-goal advantage. Ten minutes later he scored his first goal for the national team, scoring a rebound after a block by the opposing defender in front of goal. Always pro-active during the rest of the game, he saw his personal brace ruled out for an offside call in the 54th minute.

An unforgettable debut as a starter for Raspadori, and for the Azzurri who extended the world record for consecutive unbeaten results to 37.
