Women's National Teams

There are six Women's National Teams: alongside the senior National Team, the Under-19 and the Under-17, which play official fixtures in FIFA and UEFA competitions, 2015 saw the creation of the Under-23, set up to help young players develop during the transition from youth to senior football, and the Under-16, while 2024 saw the birth of the Under-15 as well, on an experimental basis for its first season, the first step in the dedicated development of young players with an eye to the Azzurre.

The Women's National Teams also include Futsal and Beach Soccer: in Futsal, the Women's National Team was established in 2015 (the UEFA European Championship followed in 2019, with the FIFA World Cup scheduled to start in 2025) and the Under-19 National Team was added in 2017; in Beach Soccer, the Women's National Team was created in 2022 and competes in the Euroleague BSWW.
