The Federal Court of Appeal, sitting in United Sections, has dismissed the appeal lodged by lawyer Renato Miele against the rejection of his case before the National Federal Tribunal concerning the outcome of the Assembly resolution of 22 June, which saw Dr Giovanni Malagò elected FIGC President.

The appeal also concerned all preliminary, related and consequential acts, including the minutes of the Credentials Committee and the admission of the candidates. It further challenged the lack of a formal response to Miele’s request for access to documentation relating to Malagò’s candidacy, which was therefore deemed to have been rejected.
