A Match Within a Match. On Sunday, at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium in Milan, the FIGC will be on the pitch along with the Azzurri to promote social and environmental sustainability, as part of the new matchday format introduced in 2025. For Italy vs. Norway, there will be a series of initiatives to support accessibility, inclusion, and the circular economy.

QUIET ROOMS. With the support of the FIGC’s Paralympic and Experimental Football Division (DCPS), two ‘Quiet Rooms’ will be set up in the Orange Sky Boxes at the Meazza for DCPS players with cognitive, psychological, and sensory disabilities. The Quiet Rooms are an effort to create an inclusive environment by offering vulnerable individuals the chance to watch the game in a safe and welcoming environment, making football accessible to everyone. During the match, DJ, influencer, and TV personality Andrea Damante will greet the children in the Quiet Rooms.

AUDIO DESCRIPTION FOR VISUALLY IMPAIRED FANS. As always for home games, an audio description service will be available for blind and visually impaired fans. Thanks to the collaboration of CMT-Connect Me Too, 50 blind and visually impaired fans from the Istituto dei Ciechi di Milano and Sportrealeyes, the sports association led by water ski champion Daniele Cassioli, will be able to follow the Azzurri’s game on their smartphones thanks to a dedicated live audio commentary.

ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY. In the stadium’s hospitality areas, initiatives inspired by the concept of a circular economy will be put into place. These include sustainable catering, eliminating plastic, and using organic, locally sourced products. In partnership with the social cooperative 4EXODUS of Milan, surplus food will also be taken care of to reduce waste. At the end of the game, leftovers will be collected and given out to those who are in precarious situations.

PLAYER ESCORTS. Some of the children who will walk out onto the pitch with the Italy and Norway players were selected through the pediatric department of San Raffaele Hospital in Milan. A child from the non-profit ‘Martina e la sua luna’, which supports children and teenagers with serious illnesses, will have lunch with the Azzurri before the game.
