The second edition of the Training Camp for young Ukrainian footballers has kicked off at the Federal Technical Centre in Coverciano. Promoted by the FIGC, the initiative forms part of a wider range of initiatives supporting the federation led by President Shevchenko. It aims to provide these young players with a unique experience, giving them the opportunity to enjoy a few carefree moments and escape, if only for a few days, the harsh realities of everyday life during the ongoing conflict.

The Training Camp, which runs until Sunday 12 July, brings together three Under-13 teams from Ukraine: two boys' teams, the finalists of the national ‘School Ball’ championship, from the regions of Ivano-Frankivsk and Ternopil, and one girls' team from the Poltava region, winners of the Ukrainian Under-13 championship.

The project is delivered in collaboration with the Italian Football Coaches Association (AIAC), which provides the coaches for the training sessions, giving the boys and girls the opportunity to develop their football skills in a highly professional environment. It is also supported by AIAC Onlus, which organises additional activities such as cooking masterclasses, padel lessons and Subbuteo tournaments. The programme also includes trips to the beach and swimming pool, as well as guided visits to the Museo del Calcio and the historic centres of Florence and Pisa.
