The two trophies that mark the European successes of the Italian national Futsal team have now been ‘reunited’: the trophy from the European Championship won in 2014 has been delivered to the Museo del Calcio by Stefano Castiglia, together with then-head coach Roberto Menichelli, Michele Miarelli, one of the 14 players who lifted the trophy, and Fabrizio Tonelli, honorary president of the Futsal Division.
The piece of memorabilia – presented to the coordinator of the Football Museum, Silvia Maci – now joins the trophy from the Azzurri’s other European Championship triumph, their first in 2003, which was already on display at the museum in Centro Tecnico Federale di Coverciano.

The 2014 triumph is the second and most recent European title for Italy’s Futsal team, where the Azzurri defeated Russia in the final in Belgium.
The presentation took place on Sunday during the “Play” event at the Federal Technical Centre, which marked the opening of the Italian Futsal season.
