After their goal-filled opener against Serbia (a commanding 19-1 victory), Italy’s women's futsal national team continued their winning run. In their second match at Futsal Week, the international tournament taking place in Porec, Croatia, the Azzurre cruised to a 6-0 win over Morocco, further highlighting the strong form of Francesca Salvatore’s side. Italy took control from the outset, with Boutimah opening the scoring in the first minute. Mansueto doubled the lead in the 7th minute, before quick-fire goals from Coppari and Grieco five minutes before half-time effectively put the game beyond reach. Leading 4-0 at the break, Italy added two more goals in the second half through a Hajri own goal in the 29th minute and Adamatti’s strike in the final minute, sealing a comprehensive 6-0 victory. Italy will have a rest day tomorrow before facing Czechia on Friday at 12:15 CET in their final Group A match. With the Czechs also defeating both Morocco (5-1) and Serbia (8-1), the clash will likely decide who advances to the final.

SALVATORE. Speaking after the match, head coach Francesca Salvatore reflected on the victory: “It was a game we controlled from start to finish thanks to a great defensive performance and effective pressing. We kept Morocco pinned in their own half for the full 40 minutes. We were organised and showed maturity. Two more players made their debut today (Sveva Orrù, born in 2008, and Melissa Barban, born in 2002), and they performed well thanks in part to the support of the more experienced players. This shows that our methodology is effective and can be successfully passed on. We must not forget that Morocco reached the quarter-finals of the World Cup last November. The further we go, the more we are strengthening our identity.” Looking ahead to Friday’s final group-stage match against Czechia, Salvatore added: “They are a team that can be difficult to play against. They are well organised and know how to manage games. Different types of opponents are always welcome because they allow us to test our versatility and reinforce our principles.”
