The National Women's team will be back in action on Tuesday 13 April (venue and time to be decided) to face Iceland in a friendly match. The Azzurre are returning from the victory (12-0) against Israel, thanks to which they have earned direct qualification for the next women's European Championships which will be played in England in a year and a half.

Italy and Iceland have met five times so far, with the head-to-head record reading like this: two wins for the Azzurre, three draws. The last meeting dates back to March 2007 in the Algarve International Tournament, where Italy won 2-1.
