“Everyone to Florence.” That was the message shared on social media by FIGC Commissioner Giovanni Malagò, who was among the first to congratulate the Italy Women’s National Team on their crucial win over Belarusin the first leg of the first round of the World Cup playoffs, played at a neutral venue in Tbilisi. The Azzurre are already in Florence and returned to training this afternoon, following the long journey back from Georgia, working both on the pitch and in the gym as they began preparations for Tuesday’s match (6:15 PM CEST, live on Rai 2) at the Artemio Franchi Stadium. Fans will be ready to make their voices heard and get behind the team. They have another four days to purchase tickets and support the Azzurre in a match that will decide who reaches the playoff final, where Finland or Serbia await, with a place at the World Cup finals at stake.

Everything is in place for another memorable night in Azzurre colors. Italy, whose 2-0 win yesterday was watched by almost 500,000 viewers on Rai 2 (a 3.9% audience share), will look to build on the goals from Piemonte and Polli and keep their dream of qualifying for Brazil 2027 alive. They will do so at a stadium where they have already written unforgettable chapters in their history, celebrating qualification for the 2019 World Cup and Euro 2022 with two emphatic wins in front of the home crowd. Once again, Florence and beyond are ready to turn out in force, filling the stands with Azzurre colors and watching Severini, Fiorentina’s captain, who cannot wait to play at the Franchi again, and her teammates up close. Tickets will be available until kick-off at ticketing.figc.it and through Vivaticket outlets, with discounted prices for Under-20s, over-65s, university students and Fiorentina season-ticket holders.
Alongside the fans, Michele Bravi will also be at the Franchi, adding his voice to the action on the pitch as the Italy Women’s National Team take center stage. The Umbrian singer will perform at halftime, providing the soundtrack to the team coached by Andrea Soncin’s first home game of the season and adding another chapter to the Azzurre’s partnership with music. Over the past year alone, the collaboration has featured performances by Carl Brave, Baby K, Sarah Toscano and Lorenzo Fragola. Radio Italia, the National Teams’ media partner, will also be at the stadium as usual, entertaining fans with music in the build-up to kick-off.
