A winning start for the U19 Futsal team, who secured a convincing 6-2 victory over Slovakia in front of 700 spectators at the Rovereto sports hall. The match was never truly in doubt, with the Azzurrini racing into a 5-1 lead before half-time thanks to goals from Ferraro, Marsico, Guariento, Paolini and D’Aversa. The advantage grew further after the break, as Bui added a sixth to seal an emphatic success. The two teams will face each other again tomorrow, with kick-off scheduled for 19:00 CEST.

PEDRINI. Speaking after the match, head coach Vanni Pedrini expressed his satisfaction with the performance. “It was a good match, characterised by a strong approach and the players’ ability to quickly put into practice the ideas we worked on in the few days we had together. They adapted well to the task and everyone had the opportunity to play and make an impact on the game: every player stayed focused. We took very few risks and managed to make life difficult for our opponents. I had asked the players, both for today and tomorrow, to pay close attention to the defensive phase and our work off the ball. We will continue to build on this together.”
