By playing at least a minute of one of the three Group B games at EURO 2024 against Albania, Spain or Croatia, Federico Chiesa would reach 50 appearances for the Italy National team. The experience of the Juventus winger will support the new group, changed from the side that won in 2021: "this was our strength and it will be once again".

In an interview with Vivo Azzurro TV (in Italian), the platform from the FIGC available on the App Store, Google Play and at www.vivoazzurrotv.it, Chiesa shared how the squad is feeling ahead of the debut game against Albania: "Being reigning Champions of Europe is a big responsibility. We’re fired up, helped by the fans here supporting us".

The Azzurri number 14 also spoke on other players who are at a big competition for the first time: "Buongiormo and Calafiori have everything to become two top players". Jorginho, on the other hand, is already: "I’ve known him for years but he always surprises me. When we do possession practice, I always hope to be in his side because he never loses the ball".
