After finishing the Elite League in third place, the Under 20 national side will return to action in a friendly double header against Paraguay on Friday 6 and Monday 9 June as Stadio Comunale 'Bruno Recchioni' in Fermo.
The Under 20 side are returning to the town of Fermo after 12 years. The last time they played there was on 5 June 2013 when the Azzurrini won 6-1 against Poland in the sixth and final matchday of the 12th edition of the 'Four Nations' tournament. Luigi Di Biagio's side went behind after Jakub Bak scored in the eleventh minute. The side then bounced back thanks to braces from Luca Antei (19' and 76'), Andrea Belotti (26' and 29') and Riccardo Improta (53' and 82').
The only previous meeting against Paraguay came on 25 September 2009 in the second match of Group A in the group stage of the Under 20 World Cup. On that occasion, Francesco Rocca's side drew 0-0 in Cairo.
