Japan, New Zealand and the United States will be Italy's opponents at the Under-20 Women's World Cup. This was the outcome of the draw held today in Lodz, with Poland hosting the competition from 5 to 27 September, having also been the venue for the final stages of the Under-19 European Championship that earned Italy (semi-finalists in June 2025) their place at the World Cup.

Bielsko-Biała, Katowice, Łódź and Sosnowiec are the cities that will host the World Cup, to which Italy will return after 14 years since their last appearance in 2012, with 24 teams taking part: the top two from each of the six groups and the four best third-placed sides will advance to the round of 16.
Italy will play their three group matches in Lodz: they open on Sunday 6 September at 18:00 against the United States, their second match is on Wednesday 9 at 18:00 against New Zealand, while the third takes place on Saturday 12 at 15:00 against Japan, finalists in the last two editions. North Korea are the reigning champions, following their triumph in 2024 in Colombia.
