One new addition and one withdrawal have brought changes to Italy’s squad list. After FIFA approved Matteo Palma’s change of sporting nationality, head coach Roberto Mancini has decided to include the defender in his squad for the matches against France and Belgium. These are Italy’s final two fixtures in their UEFA Nations League group, scheduled for Thursday 12 November at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milan and Sunday 15 November at the Stade Roi Baudouin in Brussels respectively. For the Udinese defender, born in 2008, this will be his first call-up to the senior national team.
Gianluca Mancini, meanwhile, will be unable to join the squad. The Roma defender has been forced to withdraw due to injury and will remain with his club to undergo any necessary treatment. The Azzurri will meet up tomorrow evening at the Centro Tecnico Federale di Coverciano, where they will hold their first training session on Monday afternoon.
