Very few changes in the FIFA Rankings, with Italy ending 2025 in 12 place. Spain dominated the table, taking first place again, followed by the reigning world champions Argentina and France. The other top ten remain the same: England (4th), Brazil (5th), Portugal (6th), the Netherlands (7th), Belgium (8th), Germany (9th), and Croatia (10th). Jordan made the biggest leap forward in the rankings, moving up two places to 64th despite losing in the final to Morocco (11th) in the 2025 FIFA Arab Cup, Vietnam (107th, +3), and Singapore (148th, +3).

At the end of 2025, the breakdown of the top 50 nations by confederation is almost the same as last year, with 26 belonging to UEFA, 7 to CONMEBOL (−1) and CAF, 5 to CONCACAF (+1) and AFC, and none to OFC.
