Italy and Argentina will face off next June in an unprecedented fixture between the reigning European Champions and the most recent winners of Copa America. This announcement was made as part of an increasingly solid partnership between UEFA and CONMEBOL, while the venue for the match is yet to be confirmed.

The agreement reached currently includes three 'editions' of the fixture between the respective continental champions, and also includes the opening of a joint office in London which will have to coordinate projects of common interest. With this agreement, UEFA and CONMEBOL express their commitment to the development of football as a bridge that unites people beyond geographical areas, countries, continents, and cultures.
