Two changes have been made to the Italy Under-21 squad following the 4–0 victory over North Macedonia. Lazio goalkeeper Edoardo Motta and Frosinone forward Antonio Raimondo have both withdrawn from the squad after a recurrence of pre-existing issues that had already been present at the start of the training camp in Tirrenia. The two players will return to their respective clubs today. They will be replaced by Spezia goalkeeper Diego Mascardi of (who made one previous appearance for the U21s in the opening European qualifying match against Montenegro) and Juve Stabia striker Alvin Okoro. Okoro had originally been called up to the Italy U20 squad for the friendly scheduled today in Riano between Italy and England, and his promotion marks his first call-up to the U21 side.
