The first of two friendlies between the Under-18 national team and Austria held at the Maurizio Siega, ended prematurely. After conceding an opening goal in the 9th minute from Konstantin Aleksa, the Austria Vienna forward, the Azzurrini went two down when Austrian striker Mauro Hämmerle, from Augsburg, scored in the 26th minute. The match was suspended in the second half, in the 63rd minute, due to rain.

Coach Daniele Franceschini’s team will face their Austrian counterparts again on Sunday, 13 October (12:00 CEST) at the Waldarena in Velden am Wörthersee."
