Day 3 of training at Coverciano: the players continue their hard work at the Federal Technical Centre as they train and talk tactics. They are fully focused on the next two games that could prove crucial in the race for the valuable prize that is the World Cup, taking place in Brazil.
The four-team group, which also includes Sweden, Denmark and Serbia, offers only one direct ticket to the 2027 Women’s World Cup, while the other teams will have to go through the tough playoffs. After two matches, the Scandinavian pair sit top with four points, while Italy and Serbia are still in the race but have collected just one point so far. Next up for Soncin’s side is Serbia on Tuesday 14 April at 18:15 CEST (live on Rai 2), the first of two away games in this international window.
The second will come in Copenhagen against Denmark on Saturday 18 April at 15:00 CEST at the iconic Parken Stadium, seating 38,000, and will also be broadcast live on Rai 2.
