The second friendly between the Italy Women’s U15 and Scotland ended 0-0 at the Centro di Preparazione Olimpica in Tirrenia. The Azzurrine hit the woodwork three times and created several chances, but couldn’t find a breakthrough. Compared to Tuesday’s 2-1 win, Dessì changed the  starting XI, with Como Women goalkeeper Alessandra Giudici between the posts and an attacking trio made up of Sassuolo pair Domenichini and Pistolesi, alongside Parma’s Osemwingie.

“We had our chances,” said Dessì after the game. “But beyond the result, this was another important step in their growth. It gave the girls the chance to develop in an international setting. I’m happy with their attitude, on and off the pitch. From these two matches I take away a lot – fiirst of all, the value of giving everyone the chance to play twice in 48 hours against a strong Scotland side, but above all their sense of belonging to the Azzurri shirt. That’s something we really work on, because being part of this team comes with both responsibility and pride.”
