The Italy U19 futsal side continued to impress this evening in Rovereto, with the senior national team head coach Salvo Samperi watching on and in front of 400 spectators. The Azzurrini produced an even more convincing performance against Slovakia in the rematch of last night’s 6-2 win. The Azzurrini scored eight goals, once again putting the result beyond doubt in the first half: the 5-1 scoreline after 20 minutes came thanks to an own goal, a brace from Iissi, and goals from Paolini and Guariento. In the second half, strikes from D’Aversa, Marconi, and Gallo sealed the final 8-2 result.

PEDRINI. Coach Vanni Pedrini expressed his happiness after the match:
“We knew we had to play the full 80 minutes, and the players stayed consistent in their concentration. For us, we must make the most of these opportunities for our development: we will need to continue working with humility and dedication, exactly as we have done up to now.” He also praised the ‘Azzurri’ development pathway, given that the players come through the Futsal+ pathway before reaching the Under-19 national team: “You can see it in the way they play, in their understanding of the game, but above all in their sportsmanship and respect, and in how they operate within a group. This awareness comes from what is taught in the federation pathway.” A first step towards the future two-year process has therefore been taken: “There is still a lot of work to do,” Pedrini concluded, “but today on the pitch, even with some changes to the lineup, the players demonstrated what we were looking for.”
